Description of Groz 39011 High-Speed Woodworking Solution

Manufactured from close-grained cast iron for long trouble-free service; Accurately machined housings assure smooth sliding movement. Rapid Release via Counter-clockwise rotation; screw will disengage and the front jaws slide freely. Accurately fitted solid steel guide rods reduce wear and tear giving the vises a smooth and true parallel action, free of side or cross deflection. Vise jaws are equipped with a “Toe–In” feature; When fully closed, the jaws meet only at the top to provide even clamping on the whole depth of the work piece. The steel main screw has buttress threads for smooth, accurate and responsive adjustment. Body and sliding jaw have provision for attaching wooden liners to protect work pieces.

it works well! Best in Bench Vise

I'm having trouble with my gripper. I have to open and close the jaws several times to get the main screw in. Otherwise it works fine!

As expected

I've been using this wood vise for over a year now and it's doing a good job. It is very durable and good value for money. This is the first "quick" vise I've had and I don't particularly like the feature, but that's just my personal taste.

Pros
  • Vise
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Workhorse in a vise

I have two of these vises, one on each of my benches and a 9 inch version as a rear vise on one of my tables. They have been used for several years and I only wish I had installed them ten years ago. Not as pretty as some of the more expensive vises, they are fully functional, durable and will last a lifetime. The mechanism runs smoothly. I brush off sawdust and dirt. Remove propellers and shafts from time to time. It is important to set them up correctly and attach whatever you intend to use…

Cons
  • So far so good
