A standard color on most palettes, Burnt Sienna is a warm brown with high tinting strength and a semi-transparent opacity rating. A versatile earth tone, it is used in a wide range of painting techniques from masstone to mixes and glazes. Each color swatch has been tested for masstone, mixability, lightfastness, drying properties, pigment dispersion and viscosity. Truly a professional paint, the majority of our colors are single pigment, and have a lightfast rating of 1-excellent. Pre-tested Professional offers artists a modern palette with superior tinting strength and is made in USA.

Painting Products: Painting

I have always used this special Grumbacher oil paint (pre-tested) and have found that my paintings never turn yellow when finished.

Pros
  • Art, Painting & Art Supplies
Cons
  • Out of fashion

The color was ok but it was a mess and I wasn't expecting it.

Paint arrived smeared all over the box it was sent in. It looked like it was leaking out of the bottom of the tube, paint and oil were everywhere. I didn't return it because I had a deadline to finish the painting so I had to use it. The color was ok but it was a mess and I didn't expect a new tube to bleed so much and under normal circumstances I would have returned it.

Pros
  • Paint
Cons
  • Expensive
