Great radios for the price. I have recommended them to friends. Would buy again. Easy programming with free downloadable software.

Danger Do not use a car charger!

Radio is fine but the mic and speaker covers broke on day one. A radio will continue to turn off if the battery has 50% charge remaining. The book is poorly written, the font is very small. Too bad you shouldn't use a car charger unless you want to take loose change and wreck everything. I posted a video on YouTube about it. Apart from disabling it, all of these problems can be solved or avoided. I recommend thinking twice about using them.[.]

These radios are rubbish

Once again Baofeng disappointed radios seem cheap compared to others I've bought. You have to reverse engineer your drivers and OS to make the programming cable work, which I never did. Stay away from these products and invest in genuine branded radios that have spent time developing them.

Fake programming cable, W10 driver needs updating, but the radios themselves are fine

The radios are excellent, we haven't had a single failure in daily use. But the programming cable for CHIRP seems to be one of those very common fake cables that don't work at all. CHIRP cannot find a reader or writer because the latest Windows drivers intentionally disable a pirated chip in the cable. You can manually downgrade the drivers, then the cable will work. Type CHIRP in your search engine and join this mailing list for information. These fake cables are a disaster for the Baofeng…
