Gunk EBT32 Engine Cleaner Degreaser Review

Works very well. I use it on almost every rich or oily engine, big or small. Cars, lawn equipment, snow plows. Just take reasonable precautions to keep parts like ignition parts and air filter dry. I like these aerosol sprayers a little more than the aerosol sprayers since I reuse empty bottles for spraying lawn weeds.

I remember a Gunk from the 70's removing the chrome from the bumper. There's a serious chemical in there. I should have read the label on this one more carefully. citrus? My experience has shown me that all labeled citrus fruits are always organic. I got this to rebuild an old Stihl chainsaw and it did nothing to clear the oil residue. I ended up using brake cleaner and a stiff nylon brush.

Gunk Engine Cleaner & Degreaser is very easy to use. To apply, use a cold engine, spray on, leave on for about 10 minutes, remove hose, then dry. The product gives a brilliant shine and leaves no water stains. There is no unpleasant odor when used. The price of the product is very reasonable. With about twice a month use, I got a lot of feedback on engine shine. Ensure that the product is used with care in relation to computer sensors, cables and air intakes. Large size 32 oz.

Sometimes there's something in a brand name. I've tried several other products claiming to be degreasers including Purple Power etc. I've used them alongside some small engine parts that have been taken apart including a crusty 30 year old chainsaw. The sludge worked wonders and did no harm (pH neutral) while the other products not only didn't remove the grease but literally dissolved the plastic parts and corroded the aluminum pan I was cooking the parts in. I was afraid it was soap, not solvent. It seems that the solvents in many products are already hard to come by. It doesn't seem to be as good an engine degreaser as gunk solvent but it seems to work better than a soap product, it actually works quite well. So I can't say what the substance is, just that it might be acceptable as a degreaser. It doesn't seem to rinse off as well as the old engine degreaser solvent and requires wiping down surfaces when rinsing with water. It doesn't turn into a…
