Good price for a beginner.

It was a present for my son. Material and workmanship are excellent. There's another point I didn't know at the time, you have to buy it to attach the camera. Overall a good and affordable option for anyone to start with.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Best Sliders - Camera and Photo

GVM makes it again, I know they always have really great motorized sliders but this is a manual slider, not like before, carbon fiber rails, build quality, very easy to install and I can't believe it slides so smoothly. The mute slider really works for the home studio. Thanks GVM, perfect slider!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Useless features

Not very smooth and poor support

I have a manual version. It looks very nice. However, the curvature of the two pulleys is frozen in the belt, creating two humps. These humps make the slider twitch and are particularly noticeable without a flywheel. I've attached a video clip to show this. When I contacted their support they offered to send a new belt but the belt never arrived. With the flywheel attached, the movement is smoother, but I still feel jerky when I push it. If it wasn't for the belt issue I would give 5 stars…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some errors

Great idea, poor execution

You can get good results, but it takes more effort than it's worth. Build quality seems good at first, but once you add a camera there is so much play in the mounting plate that it's impossible to get clear shots. This leads to very jerky movements even in loop and parallax mode. Because there is too much play, the camera doesn't start rotating at least 5-7 inches. And it's so annoying that you want to throw something across the room. It's also almost impossible to repeat shots as the head…

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Not bad
