Description of GVS Life Sciences 1222017 Polycarbonate

Essentially zero autofluorescence. They exhibit extremely low non-specific absorption. Absolute pore size and density Provides flow control for liquids moving through the membrane capturing 100 percent of cells larger than pore size. Smooth, thin, glass-like surface: Planar surface makes it ideal for particle identification by microscopy. GVS Maine PCTE Membrane is produced through a two-step, proprietary manufacturing process that employs high quality standards. This unique process allows for increased control over pore size and density to ensure the physical properties of each membrane precisely fit your specifications. The resulting membrane is a thin, translucent and microporous polycarbonate film with a smooth, flat surface. All particles larger than the pore size are captured on its surface. It is ideal for use when collecting samples for blood assays or for high-purity and general filtration.

These filters have proved invaluable in our industrial and scientific lab. They are of excellent quality, sturdy and long-lasting. While the price is a bit steep in comparison to other filters in the market, the reliability justifies the investment. Overall, a must-have for any science lab..

Pros
  • High-quality, reliable, long-lasting
Cons
  • Slightly expensive compared to other filters.

Autofluorescent and weak

Very weak and I have problems with its autofluorescent effect making my experiments a waste. The brittle nature means I don't always get a flat filter layout and therefore the filtering isn't always effective.

Pros
  • Laboratory filter
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
