Works very well with my pewter item. Removes plaque, easily washes off with paste. It would be nice if the kit included an applicator for applying varnish and washing the product. Can recommend it unreservedly.

Tried this product on 3 of my detailed pewter figures. Not such a great shine and buffing is difficult to remove. Rinse with warm water and a toothbrush, then soak in warm, soapy water. More film in places. Then try alcohol. I'm glad I didn't do all my stuff the first time. It was the only pewter polish on the list. I think next time I'll try a metallic or silver polish.

So glad I ordered this! I have a custom made pewter necklace with a pendant made from the ashes of a loved one. I've been wearing it for over a year now and it got very dirty and looked "rough" so I finally took a chance on trying this product to make it nice again. It worked incredibly well! I applied it to the pendant with a damp cotton swab and then rinsed thoroughly. The pendant looks like new, no scratches or damage from the detergent.

When we lived in Maryland we lived next door to a store that specialized in pewter, so I bought a polish that was available at the store. We moved to Virginia and I realized I couldn't find my nail polish. I called the original MD store to see if I could replace the silver polish.
