    I like the halter in equestrian sport

    I like the halter but it rubs his face. I can't tell if it was because he had scratched his face from the flies or because he was a bit too big. The rest works great.

    Absolutely beautiful halter! The craftsmanship is outstanding. You will be very happy with it and it looks great on our horse. The best I've seen and used. I will order more for other horses.

    Good halter for other sports

    I have had these halters for many years and love them. They're getting harder and harder to find in the gear store, so when I saw this on Revain I grabbed it. The brass fittings in the holes prevent tearing, are durable and look very beautiful.

    No two halters are alike

    Well this is a very nice halter but the size is deceptive. I bought this for my donkey and it fits my quarter horse. Expect it to be a gamble with the sizes they offer. I don't think you can adjust the animal's weight really well.

    Not as shown on the halter

    The halter supplied does not match the picture. It lacks lugs and a metal tab at the end of the crown, both of which are important for durability. The rings are also steel, not brass, although the product's label says "Made of Solid Brass". This seems to be the lower limit of "quality". Buyer beware

    Crappie is good for other sports

    I have several Hamilton 1″ halters. The prong slid from side to side making it difficult to insert the prong into the girdle when the horse was stopped. The old buckles kept the tine centered on the crossbar. No longer.

    Excellent halter, the best in other sports

    First of all Hamilton halters are the best. This was stolen and is of the same high quality. I have no idea how long he had the ones he was wearing before, but it had a clip that broke so I had to buy him a new one. It fits even better than what he had before! This is a 13/14 tame horse and probably weighs around 800 pounds so I bought him a small one. Fits perfectly!

    Description incorrect

    It says the chin strap is adjustable. I'm definitely not regulated. And look carefully at the picture, there is no cheek on it. You have to loosen and tighten the crown every time you want to take off or put on the halter. I should have looked more closely, but I was just guessing. Its my fault. Don't repeat the same mistake. However, if you don't mind that, then this halter is perfect. Hamilton halters are of excellent quality and will last forever. And the color is beautiful.

    I ordered this halter from Hamilton because I bought a few of them 20 years ago. I finally needed a new one and couldn't find one the right size, so I ordered from Revain. The halter is good in every way except, very importantly, the buckle has a small pin that goes through the hole to secure it and the pin slides from the small spot where it is supposed to sit, around and sometimes do I have to take the strap out of the buckles - not always easy when a pin is stuck in the wrong place - so I…
