Great but temp only in 25° increments

This is a fantastic item and it boils water very quickly BUT 1, it boiled water when the temp was set to 200 (only choice was 225. ), not 212. I know it's not a measure of the internal temperature of the water, but it still seems wrong, how can water get that hot on a 200° burner. ALSO, the description here is unclear at best, I thought you could enter or set a specific temperature, e.g. B. in increments of 1, not 25. BYE 0.5 stars because I'm rating the device, no fuzzy description, it's…

Time cycles, no power levels.

This hob doesn't appear to have power levels. It has time cycles, like a microwave. In other words, P1 doesn't look like say 100W, it looks ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON-OFF. Or in other words, very hot, off, very hot, off. Haven't used it yet so as not to burn anything. By the way, every good review here says "Vine Customer Review for a FREE PRODUCT". I would also be happy if it was free for me. UPDATE: Since I bought it 3 weeks ago it has been used 6-8 times and now it doesn't stay. . Place the cast iron…

Comfortable, powerful enough, easy to clean

There is no shortage of options when buying a portable induction hob. I chose Hamilton Beach 34104 primarily because I can call a US based company if I have a quality issue. We bought this induction cooker for our first holiday during the pandemic as we were staying in a remote lodge and didn't want to be limited by our dining options. We put it in our room to reheat ready meals or make burritos and hot sandwiches for breakfast. On first use, the controls were not entirely intuitive (especially

Works perfectly! Countertop Burner

I have been using an induction cooktop for many years and have had to replace it. I was a little confused by the 1-10 power levels and only used temperature for cooking. Once you know the tempi for low, mid-low, mid, mid-high, high, and whisper, power levels are a cinch. Now I cook with power levels. It's easy to turn on and off, and the modes are easy to set. I like the timer as it turns off the stove when the time is up. The boost button switches it to power level 10 for 30 seconds and then…

It just works ok but disappointed

I bought this unit specifically because of the large diameter heating coil advertised as up to 10 inches. A cast-iron pan has a well-defined 4- to 5-inch diameter hot spot in the center, and the periphery is noticeably colder. , even after the pan has been warmed up for 20 minutes. Another disappointment is the inaccuracy of the temperature control. When I set the temperature to 300, the laser thermometer registered 332. When I set it to 350, the thermometer registered 385. I reckon this burner

Lack of support and poor quality control

TLDR: Not reached stated temperatures, support hasn't responded to support calls for over 2 months, bought 2 of these and both give off a horrible smell of burned electronics when in use. I have now bought 2 of these which I am still waiting for tech support as after 3 months it stopped working and exceeded Amazon's return policy. The first one I bought worked really well for about 3 months before it started giving off a bad electronic burn smell before it stopped working and showed E2 on the…
