This blender broke after two months!

This blender's yoke (the part that holds the blade and screws the jug to the base) broke after two months. I've used the blender probably 10 times and called customer service which took a while and wasn't very helpful. The rep asked me what I put in the blender. I told her ice cream, almond milk, flaxseed oil and 6 frozen strawberries. She asked if I had defrosted the strawberries beforehand and I said no. She then told me to let the strawberries thaw first. Hmmm. It blended my morning smoothie

  • Useful for more than intended purpose

Don't you love the nice sound of construction workers drilling holes?

Don't you like the pleasant sound of construction workers digging holes in the ground at 6 am? NO? Well me too. And this mixer sounds very similar. Everyone in my building knows when I'm making smoothies because that blender sounds like something out of a horror movie! And on top of that, mixing takes forever or doesn't work at all unless I stir it with a fork or spoon. HORRIBLE! I didn't like that all ninja blenders are plastic, so I decided to do something different this time. something made…

Great blender, best in kitchen and dining room

This blender was a replacement for the Cuisinart I bought from Costco which had all the bells and whistles and cost more than double. When it broke after a few years of use (and this was my second) I decided I would just buy a good no frills blender. I received it and I love it. I use it to make pudding, mushy peas and some drinks and it's a really good blender. I was surprised at how much better it does its job than my Cuisinart! I like the top spout as my old one sometimes had a dirty spout…

I've only owned 4 Hamilton Beach Mixers in 25 years. The latest HB Blender, a housewarming gift, lasted four months. I bought this last June but have used it less than half a dozen times. This has been a disappointment for all my smoothies and I dare not use it for any other processing. The part marked "collar" is open and serves as a container for food residues that settle on the bottom of the glass jar under the cutting blades. Nuts, fruits, vegetables, seeds, and ice remain trapped without…

Small appliance Smoothie Master

Every morning I put Greek yogurt, a cup of frozen berries, half a frozen banana, a cup of frozen cabbage, a spoonful of chia seeds, a couple of spoonfuls of ground coffee, flaxseeds, a handful of raw Almonds and a couple cups of almond milk in my blender. He doesn't even stutter - he turns everything into a cocktail I can drink through a straw. Never gave me any problems and blended perfectly smoothly. love this shop. especially for the price. Edited to add: I've seen many people complain about

Does not crush ice and frozen fruit!

We are buying a blender for the second time. We thought the first case was an accident. I did some research and the description says it crushes ice and frozen fruit. It really crushes ice and frozen fruit. However, the motor burned out after about a month. We tried the second one as the manufacturer said it was a faulty blender and the same thing happened. No additional liquid helps. It doesn't even crush it well. Unless you don't think large chunks of jagged chunks are left behind. If you're…

Good blender with one major flaw

Bought this blender 2 years ago, mainly for making smoothies and the occasional milkshake. It was used on average once a day for less than five minutes. It matched my ideas perfectly and had a design that made the mixing process much easier without requiring constant stops to feed unmixed material to the blades. After about a year it started leaking and I found that the plastic "nut" that attaches the blades to the glass jar was cracked. Tried to fix with different glues but nothing helped…

I am impressed. - Small Appliances

We all know the cranky old man who yells at cars that are 3mph over the speed limit in his area. Some of us laugh nervously at the mention of him before admitting that one day that man or woman will be us. There's just the realization that when you consider how exhausted we are in our 30s or 40s with all of life's little annoyances, full crochet is inevitable. And that it's not that far away. I'm stuck in this camp. I'm 35 but I've been practicing my grumpy age tricks for years, especially when
