These handkerchiefs were soft, elastic and white, white! I was worried they wouldn't be very white, but they are pure white. They are excellent. They are thick, soft and fluffy. I don't see why others are having trouble, although there are some basics you should know. Machine wash is fine, but if you have stains, be sure to pretreat or hand wash if heavily soiled. The edges are clean and straight. I bought these tissues based on other reviews. Unfortunately they are not as beautiful as I had hoped. They don't wash well (and yes, I followed the washing instructions). The texture and sheen of the fabric changed dramatically after one wash, and the edges of the handkerchiefs curled horribly. In the photo I posted, the handkerchief on the left is an unused, unwashed handkerchief compared to the handkerchief on the right which has been washed once. I'm disappointed. :-(

Terrible. So thin you can EASILY see through. Snot and tears (that's what they're meant for, to be honest) went straight through and got my hands wet. so big And the people who said they were soft, what did they compare them to? steel wool? Because they're definitely softer than steel wool, but not by much. My poor nose and eyes were red and sore from being so raw after blowing my nose and dabbing my eyes. It would be great for embroidery or the like, but not for catching snot and tears.
