Works well overall

A bit difficult for a DIYer to install on an old SUV. but i finally made it. The elevators work well when the hatch is up, but are quite narrow when lowered.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

worked fine Installing a Jeep is a pain.

They worked, but the Chrysler Jeep required a special tool with reverse star threads for the screws. And it was too tight. The new one didn't quite fit in, but it did. Elevators work but there is a backlash. This is a bolt. They hold up with no problem.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Awkward

Just the ones that fit me

I have a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and after visiting the Autozone and other stores I bought 3 sets of these things and none of them fit so I'm very happy about that I find these amazing, they fit like a charm and now I don't have to use a stick to support the back door

Perfect aftermarket fit

We have a '97 Jeep Grand Cherokee and they fit perfectly! They weren't that easy to put on, but mostly because some of the bolts/nuts are awkward to reach. Otherwise they are perfect and the price is great. It's so nice to have a hatch that stays open again. I'll update if we run into any issues, but so far so good.

  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

No mounting hardware in case you need to replace it.

I would rate it a 5+ on all counts but no mounting screws are supplied. Assembled just like the installation wasn't difficult. Just think it would be a great idea to add mounting screws to secure them. But needless to say my 23 year old OEM jeep bolts wore out and they definitely did the job and amaze me how tedious the work is there.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

You get what you pay for

As long as these air springs/damper work. They are definitely cheaply made and built for the price. Unfortunately the included bracket for my 98 ZJ is not fully OEM, the clearance holes are slightly different than the OEM so they don't work, luckily I was able to reuse my OEM. Also, unlike American or OEM, the bumper wobbles back and forth and doesn't fit snugly in the cylinder. Over time, the seals are likely to wear out prematurely due to misalignment.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Great value for money πŸ’°

Rear door shock absorbers have long since lost their strength. 3 years to be exact and I had to replace them. I found them at a very reasonable price and took a chance. They came with little fanfare. Cardboard box with 2 shock absorbers in plastic sleeves and bubble bags. Nothing more. The shock absorbers are marked L and R on the bolt plate, so make sure they face the rear of the vehicle. I made the mistake of putting an L on the right side and the mounting plate didn't fit properly. After the
