The appeal of "collectibles" lies in the opening of the eggs. I feel like the box is intentionally misleading as there is really only one egg in this calendar. In fact, I think the manufacturer, or whoever is answering the Amazon questions above, is also intentionally misleading in their answers about how many eggs are in. Also, throwing in a few stickers on fill days sucks. Next year I will try not to buy the 2019 version.

It was a cute idea and my daughter loved it when she opened it to find the Hatchimal, but almost all of the accessories that came with it (like headphones etc.) didn't fit any of the Hatchimals included in that set. My kids are very disappointed so far! There are only a few real Hatchimal characters, the rest are paper figures and tiny bows and gifts for Hatchimals to hold. The supplied incubators were not even in the hatching egg. My kids (4 and 6) are not impressed, they were very disappointed and it was NOT worth the money we spent to buy it. My 4 year old is totally disappointed with this advent calendar and I totally agree. There are 9 Hatchimal figures (no eggshell) and one Hatchminal in the egg. How deceptive. When a child thinks of Hatchimals, they think of breaking an egg to see what's inside, in other words, hatch! In addition, 9 figures are mainly 3 foxes painted in different colors, 2 squirrels (1 red and 1 yellow) and 4 "crystal" figures. who look almost the same. The other surprises on the calendar are ridiculous and tiny

I bought this for my 6 year old daughter and she loved it. I've watched a few YouTube videos of people unboxing them and in fact they've been opened up every day to show you what's inside. So I knew exactly what to expect. The coolest part is that they get items and characters that are exclusive to the calendar. You won't buy them anywhere else. The price is very reasonable (at least it was when I bought it for just under $20) because Hatchimals aren't cheap and that sucker is full. In addition
