Makes a loud buzzing noise

I purchased this product to replace the OEM HVAC fan on a 2013 Honda Fit that was making a high pitched squeak. Although this product does not emit a high-pitched squeak, it does make a loud "buzz" or buzz. This noise is particularly noticeable at low speeds. It is generally louder than an OEM unit with worn motor mounts.

Super loud at high frequencies in fan motors

This super cheap replacement is not without flaws. I have to say that after 3 days of sweating in the hot sun I can't complain, this inexpensive piece does the job. The only thing I wanted to note is that at high (setting 4) it sounds like a whirlwind. It's a low hum, similar to the operation of a jet engine. There is no sound on the other 3 settings. I think I would take it as a SUPER BOOST which is not bad. I just wanted to emphasize that in my setup. I hope this does not indicate his early…

Great price, fast delivery, works great.

This is an aftermarket fan for my 2009 Honda Fit Sport. The fan suddenly stopped working, searched YouTube for solutions - came across this article and it's easy to install (three screws) and easy to get in from the passenger side under the glove box. Sobering that other owners are having the same fan issues. It looks like I'll have to replace it in the future, but for now it's working fine and the fan is back to normal. Very satisfied. I WILL CHECK IF SOMETHING IS WRONG. But now I'm happy!

  • Stylish and modern design

I saved $450 on my repair bill!

Car repairs are always expensive, and if the air conditioning in the car fails before the summer, that's not very good! I'm not a gifted mechanic, but after watching a few YouTube videos, I realized that this is a job I can accomplish. The fan is only held by three screws and inserted directly. No wires or splices. The hardest part was getting under the dash head first. It took about 15 minutes and the AC was working again! As others have said, it runs a little louder than the original Honda…

Almost OEM (Justifies the high price!)

I ordered a cheap fan for my Honda. It exploded and smoke poured out of my vents. Leaves me without air conditioning on hot summer days. This one didn't look like an OEM fan either. This one from SCITOO looks and works just like the OEM fan, I just installed it today and I'm on cloud nine. It works great, just as if not better than the OEM fan. And 100 times better than the cheap one I bought before. I don't expect any problems with this. I'm sure it will take a long time. Seriously spend the…

Inexpensive Replacement Fan Motor for Honda Fit

My 2013 Fit has 190k and this is the third time I have replaced the fan motor (i.e. fourth motor the car had). To my knowledge the OEM engine was recalled because it failed prematurely and most aftermarket parts are clones of the failed OEM engine. Nothing wrong with that, though. It's a 10 minute fix and each fan motor has over 50,000 miles on it. The first two times I replaced the motor I bought TYC 700247 (ASIN: B00FDRLJW8). This time I found this SCITOO part cheaper than TYC for $20. In my…

Easy repair - all you need is the right screwdriver

Works well and at a great price. The installation was a bit fiddly, but that's not due to the fan, but to the position under the dashboard. I had to bend down to see what I was doing and I think if I were a little taller I wouldn't be able to get my shoulders and head under the dash to see. Now there were only three screws and an electrical connector so it was an easy replacement, but not exactly an easy one given the location. I wouldn't be afraid to do it again and I don't think you need any…
