I really like this line. It doesn't flake and is perfect for threading through the mini clothespins that now hold my Christmas cards. I expect to buy more in the future.

the material is good, the strength is good, but not as red as we would like. In fact, yesterday I noticed that it was almost pastel colored outside. I used this as an onion wrap so I didn't notice any color difference when applying it (indoors).

This is a very beautiful red strong thread, but be aware that it is very thin. I used it to hang decorative paper fans around the room to keep them safe and to look pretty, which I did. For the gift wrapping I would use several strands together to make a bigger impression.

We had an event in Chicago recently and I cellophane wrapped beer glasses with the Chicago City flag on it. I tied a bow to it with string and attached a tag. The quality and color suited the purpose very well, and the red went well with the colors of the Chicago flag. The cord is not frayed. The red is a bit muted, which worked very well for this purpose.
