Hengs 90106 C1 Roof Screen Frame Review

Thought they would match my old Jensen style roof vents; The quality was great as was everything except the crank bore. My mistake in choosing the wrong model. Found the right ones and returned them for exchange; same ventilation company, just the right model for my trailer.

When the product arrived I was glad to receive it sooner than expected. Vent cap too wide 1 1/2 inches. In any case, I used it to cut my own hole. Crappy assembly by the manufacturer.

The product does not fit my existing ventilation frame. It was very close. Didn't try to return it as the packaging was torn. I'll try to change the frame to fit the screen. Very disappointing, it looked the same as the old vent screen. There is no universal replacement for it. It should say that it only fits certain frames, not knowing what frame I have I wouldn't order it.

I bought three of these based on the description and felt they would fit my 1978 Coachman Cadet air vents which I am remodeling. The crank vent didn't even come close (the screen crank vent was over an inch longer than necessary). I returned these vents and ordered part # JRP1124R and these vents fit my 5th wheel perfectly!

It would be ideal if the bore were closer to the edge. I didn't realize this when I bought it, so hopefully it helps someone else. I have a 2003 Thor Rat Pak and it was NOT the right size. See photos for reference. The opening is closed 4 inches from the common edge. Measuring 3.5 inches from the edge of the screen but excluding the edge of the plastic cover. The screen was perfect but I have to send it back.

I bought 3 of these screens. They are of good quality and fit perfectly. To those who have left less than positive reviews so far, I would say: do your homework! There are at least 2 different types of roof vent grilles and they are NOT interchangeable! You MUST order the appropriate vent screen for your specific application. Take a few extra minutes like I did, measure the distance between the crank hole and the machine bolt hole and choose a product that matches that size. If you do, I know…

Will NOT fit most ventline vents it is designed to fit. Other reviewers have mentioned this issue, but unfortunately I didn't read the reviews before ordering.
