HFS Industrial Grade Compound Benchtop for Enhanced Strength Review

So far much better than port freight junk, I've gone through 2 freight port cross slides, both not at 90 degrees, readings say they are 97-100 degrees! This 30 dollars more show inside. 002 what I'm waiting for is what I need and clean up the dovetails for better performance, all the same Chinese, but at least 90 cars!

Strong and durable, after dismantling, cleaning and oiling. Using mine I milled out a 6061 motorcycle mount, pushed the stem, profiled and drilled the mounting holes using this XY table. Each axle has about a half turn (180*) of play, but once I felt the preload/play I got pretty good results and a decent surface finish considering it's being used on a drill press.

The HFS vise I received was generally well made and strong. The only glaring issue was the misadjusted shim that allowed it to move. Minor adjustments and some polishing of the rails, as well as spraying with Teflon grease meant the unit had little to no slack, knobs turned fairly easily, and linear movement was poor. It was worth the money and highly recommended!
