At least it's durable

Sorry this item didn't work for me. I compared it to several sizes of copper wire and copper sheet and there was no consistency. I ended up just ordering extra gauges of wire and sheet metal.

Pros
  • Industry & Science
Cons
  • No Instructions

Waste of money for sheet metal gauge

Waste of money, gauges are wrong, please do not use! I'm glad one of my students who used this first came to me before setting up the welding machine, otherwise they would have been running all over the workshop. Don't misuse it

Pros
  • Check, measure and check
Cons
  • Socket required

Good sensor + good for measuring sizes

sensor with a long range and usefulness. Thick. Stainless steel and a big plus is that it's magnetic. I can take that to the scrap yard. Attach a flat magnet to it when I go into the yard and check all the metals I want to buy and know the exact thickness and type. .125 inch = 11 caliber. This gauge shows 8 gauges. Still useful, but note that the display is off at 3.

Pros
  • sensors
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
