The case itself looks and feels good. The checkbook slot, which I usually put the back of my checkbook in to hold it securely in the cover, is too high for the cover to close. I could just stick my whole checkbook in the laminate flap, but then there really isn't any support and it could fall out. I do not believe it. Say real leather but fails the sniff test. It smells like artificial material, that's it. It's also about 3/4 inch larger than checks and registers. It could have been more compact. Beautiful color (burgundy).

First let me say this check book is NOT designed for slip on backed cheques. It works for both end and top break checks without a plug. This probably works best with top gap checks, but I'm quite happy using it for my no stub checks. The back "paper" of the checks was a bit tight to fit, but ended up without clipping. The product is rather rubbish. There is glue in the spots which causes the plaids not to fit properly and it is not designed to ever seal properly with the plaids inside. When I received mine, the plastic that protects the letter from one check to the next was almost completely torn off, so pretty loose and unusable. Well Made Leather Product. I'm surprised some complained that it wasn't leather and someone else complained about the smell which was so awful even his checks smelled awful when removed. I love real leather and buy a lot of leather goods myself. I have no reason to doubt that the product is genuine leather, feels and smells like leather. Maybe someone is allergic to the skin. In my opinion this is a great buy for the price. Plus, my checks and checkbook fit in easily and still have room.

Works exactly as I expected. This is a great upgrade from the cheap vinyl check book cover I got from the bank but still worth the money. Can't say too much yet, this is a check book cover and covers checks well. I had no issues with the size or the way the checks fit in the book like other reviewers. You just go in and work.
