Nice Filament for my opinion

This is my first TPU material so I have nothing to compare with. However, my first TPU part was run with standard PLA settings and it printed just fine. My second print was a temperature testing box. In deed, this filament likes to be extruded at colder temperatures. I started with 230C and dropped to 210F at a height of about 1 inch or so. The upper part of the test was much more consistent than the hotter temperatures. This filament is pretty sensitive. It will even bubble at 215C, so try…

Pros
  • Reduces the likelihood of warping, preventing the need for additional printing attempts
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to remove support structures after printing

Let me be clear, printing TPU for the first time is not for the feint of heart. I've successfully printed a small model but so far larger items, not so successful. Going to take a bit of playing and tuning of the slicer and my Creality CR10 s5 to make it consistent. The material STICKS to the glass very well, almost too well - playing with my settings may help there. It seems to be good value for the money but only one I tried. I got ONE really nice print of a small sample only after several…

Pros
  • Can be used with both direct and bowden extruders
Cons
  • Not suitable for parts that require high chemical resistance

First time trying TPU

So when I got this at first was having trouble printing then googled watch some videos. I realized I need to cook the filament so I rewind some on another spool just to be safe, after 30 min on 70 degree Celsius. I tried again and came out to be perfect prints, not bad for the first time. I really thought it was gonna be alot of trouble but after some changed settings, works fine not a problem.

Pros
  • {}
Cons
  • Not suitable for parts that require high precision due to its tendency to warp during printing

Very durable and easy to use!

I had never used a flexy filament in my printer, but it worked beautifully. And you can’t tear this stuff apart once printed. I tried to with a test piece and this stuff seems VERY durable

Pros
  • Reliable adhesion for effective layer bonding during the printing process
Cons
  • May require a different type of extruder to achieve best results

Great filament in my review

This filament was really easy to print with. First print was successful although it wasn't a complex print. Very happy with with results and would recommend. I printed at 225 degrees with bed at 60 degrees.

Pros
  • Empowers both beginners and advanced users to create detailed and visually appealing designs
Cons
  • May produce parts with a lower level of detail compared to other filaments

Good quality for my opinion

This filament is nice and works fine, the only thing that I think was a problem that it kept a getting tangled on the spool when you print with it

Pros
  • Exceptional dimensional accuracy for precise 3D printed objects
Cons
  • May not adhere as well to the printer bed compared to other filaments

Not nearly as good as the other hatchbox TPU colors

For whatever reason this TPU prints much more stringy than any other hatchbox tpu I have used. I have since switched to sainsmart black tpu and it prints a lot cleaner.

Pros
  • Offers superb compatibility with various 3D printing software platforms
Cons
  • May produce parts with a more rubber-like texture compared to other filaments

I love it, though not quite what I expected!

This is flexible, but not very soft and certainly not easily flexible. I intended to make stress-balls as my first print with it, but while the material printed quite smooth and easy with a brass 0.4 nozzle, the end result resisted squishing more than expected with only 3 layers of wall and 10% infill. Don't let that discourage you, though, I will still happily use this to print spacers, bendable toys, flexible connection pieces, RC car wheels, and MUCH more! Just.not stress-balls!

Pros
  • Offers a glossy finish for visually appealing printed products
Cons
  • Not recommended for use in parts that will be exposed to strong sunlight or weather conditions

Worked beautifully: my feedback

Only issue I had was not running cleaning filament after printing with this and some garbage started clogging up later prints, but that was on me. Once I started using cleaning filament after, I had no problem moving back to PLA. I printed some anti-vibration feet for my printer, and some buttons for a Pigrrl.

Pros
  • Reduced waste and increased efficiency due to accurate dimensional accuracy
Cons
  • Can be more challenging to store properly due to its flexible nature

Meh. Sainsmart and esun are better products

Not the best stuff to print with, it's stringy and runny and greasy? If that can be a thing, but at least it's not as bad as overture tpu, nobody can get a good print out of that crap

Pros
  • Affordable for businesses and individuals seeking to produce quality 3D prints
Cons
  • May not achieve consistent results across different projects due to its variable nature

Easy to use and good quality

Prints easily on my Ender 3. Was very surprised by the strength and flexibility. Not as rigid as I expected when printing thinner parts but this is my first time using tpu.

Pros
  • Reduced maintenance compared to other printing materials on the market
Cons
  • Can be more challenging to achieve a consistent temperature during printing

Hatchbox does it again with outstanding filament

Absolutely love this filament! prints easily at PLA speeds and temps on my Prusa MK3. Excellent adherence to the bed without any adjunctive materials.

Pros
  • Provides an extensive range of printing temperatures, ensuring the product serves a broad application spectrum
Cons
  • Can be more challenging to print parts with integrated moving components due to its flexible nature

Great material for a great price

This is an amazing material. Prints very well and has a high surface hardness yet is flexible. Very impressed with the quality from Hatchbox. We've been able to replace several PLA printed parts with this to make the product lighter and stronger. Do note that TPU is very difficult to file/remove stringing and requires some tuning on the print settings.

Pros
  • Evenly curved and wound for trouble-free feeding into the printer
Cons
  • May produce parts with a lower level of strength compared to other filaments

Could not get this roll to print.

Could not get it to print no matter what I tried. Nozzle plugged after about ten layers. I tried different size nozzles, temps and settings but no luck. A waste of money on this one.

Pros
  • Abrasion Resistance
Cons
  • Requires proper cleaning of the printer nozzle to prevent clogging

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Flexible filament with no mods needed.

Works great! I didn't have to change a single thing on my maker select plus. Just adjust your slicer settings for the TPU Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • User-friendly and easy to load onto the printer for use
Cons
  • Not recommended for use in parts that will be subjected to extreme temperatures

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Dry your filament before shipping!

This stuff sounds like popcorn when it prints it has so much water in it! Normally I like Hatchbox filament, but this roll is a letdown. I'll try drying it, but it should come ready to print.

Pros
  • Suitable for printing intricate models and objects with high precision
Cons
  • Can be more prone to printing failures or errors, leading to wasted material and time

Good stuff - my new review

Very noodle like. When printed has a nice combination of rubber and stiffness. With a proper flex head, print at 200 to 205. With a direct drive, I had better luck at 215, no retraction and slow (15-25 mm/s) speeds.

Pros
  • Suitable for a wide range of printing applications
Cons
  • May require a different temperature setting for each project, leading to more trial and error

Works well on my Ender 3

I am new to TPU, so I am still experimenting to find the best settings. I picked this TPU as the flexibility rating still lets you print without any modifications on the stock Ender 3.Layer to layer adhesion is perfect, build plate adhesion to glass still needs to be adjusted for me. The surface of the printed objects looks good, maybe better than the surface I printed with Hatchbox PLA (as the adhesion is better). You will need to slow down the print and go for objects that can be sliced…

Pros
  • Allows for the creation of intricate and delicate designs with ease
Cons
  • Can be more challenging to print tall or thin objects due to its flexible nature

Great filament, might need some printer mods

Fantastic color, nice and bright in spool, minimal color change after printing. Printing on stock CR-10, I ended up having to order a new Bowden tube and extruder spring to get acceptable results.

Pros
  • Reduced likelihood of clogging in the extruder during the printing process
Cons
  • Can be more prone to stringing or oozing during printing

Fantastic! on my review.

Orderedon Nov 8 2016, received on November 9 2016.1 Day!Prints as well as Hatchbox PLA! Loving this filament! Please come out with a dull/mat finish TPU Hatchbox.1st test print was a 1" x 1" cube to test for temp settings.Running 210 Extruder wth a 60 deg bed on FR4 with hairspray.2nd and 3 print immediately after.

Pros
  • Low shrinkage for designs with accurate measurements
Cons
  • May require a higher print speed to achieve best results
