These needles lasted forever. I am using these to make a crochet afghan square and need a range of sizes. They get the job done, but if you need them quickly to finish a project, buy Lion brand metal needles instead, they will arrive quicker and last longer over time. Now I have both.

Bought this to teach my daughter how to sew without fear of pricking herself. They are solid and very thick, durable plastic. I suppose my fault is that I didn't think it through, but I can't find any fabric that they would actually pierce, and since the head doesn't flex at all it would leave a huge hole even if it went through .
