Excellent Power Regulator for DIY Projects

This power regulator has been a great addition to my automotive DIY projects. Through trial and error, I found that this adjustable module delivers consistent voltage, even when subjected to heavy loads. It has also been incredibly reliable during use. The only downside is that the size is a bit bulky, which can make installation challenging in tight spaces. Overall, I highly recommend this regulator for anyone looking for a solid power solution for their garage or shop.

Pros
  • Efficient voltage regulation
Cons
  • Prone to overheating if not properly cooled

One of the most useful things to have in stock

I've lost count of how many Pis I've powered with this! You are so comfortable! Quite often I have, say, 12VDC, 19VDC or similar with no AC outlets and I want to put a Raspberry Pi in there. Just take one of these, set it to 5.1V with a voltmeter, THEN connect it to the Pi's 5V GPIO pins. Another good one! ATTENTION! DO NOT connect directly! Always set it with a voltmeter first. They come from the factory, are set very high, and will fry the Pi!

Pros
  • Power Converters
Cons
  • Not the best

Ideal for converting a 12v Engel Fridge to Digital

My old Engel had a non-digital thermostat so the knob position was a certain amount below the ambient temperature. It's not good if the temperature fluctuates around 30 degrees a day. The refrigerator is rated for 120V/24V/12V and the DC power supply ranges from 11.5V to 40V depending on the power input used. I could only find one digital thermostat labeled 12V and I needed one that could handle 12V to 40V so I bought these and placed one between the power supply and the thermostat. It worked…
