It has no corner grooves so it can slip out.

Straight vertical grooves on the outside allow it to slip out if too much force is applied. As long as you don't use too much force, you should be fine. If you experience a little stress or pressure, I definitely recommend the angled groove option.

Pros
  • Nut Inserts
Cons
  • Some Beetles

Lost in the search - Fasteners

When I was looking for a similar item in a specific size, this was the first thing suggested to me and it seemed to be the size, but when I actually bought it it turned out not to be what I wanted. I was very disappointed because it was for a project I was working on as a Mother's Day gift and I couldn't make the deadline because I was given the wrong material to work with.

Pros
  • Fasteners
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Brass threaded inserts M5, what else is there to say?

Pressed into plastic parts, they serve their purpose. I'd like to know what hole size they are for, although 6-6.5mm seemed fine to me for M5 inserts. I 3D pressed them, CF-PC/ABS thread. I couldn't get the stakes out even if I wanted to. I just set the iron to 350C, put the insert on the tip of the iron (standard tip), let it heat up for half a minute, and they're squished in like butter. You can buy special insertion tools but to be honest I've never had a problem with the standard iron tip.

Pros
  • Nuts
Cons
  • Not bad
