They worked great on a desert hike, pups turned their backs on them for a few minutes, but once they realized they could walk over rocks and the occasional cactus thorn it was fine. You have to fiddle to get them on properly, but I'm happy with them.

These dog boots were easier to put on and held in place better than the similar looking dog boots we have bought elsewhere. And they were MUCH better than the cheaper rubber soled pair we originally got (which didn't fit well and wore out quickly). These boots helped our lab's paws heal and prevented renewed damage to the upholstery from hot pavements.

I bought six different styles of dog boots for my Pit/Chi mix. Despite her foot size (2 x 2.5 inches), she wears a size 2, not a size 3 or 4.
