Light quality is good. Various light level settings are fine. But the timer is completely unreliable. A workaround is to use a timer on the wall socket instead, but if you do this the default lighting setting will be set to its maximum value every time the socket is turned back on. Unfortunately I would not recommend this product. I've had it for a few months now and am currently on the market looking for the best product.

Excellent lights. I had them weighing 150g and they reached the soil easily and helped my plants go through a full photosynthetic cycle. Now I have them on my 40g grower and the plants are growing like crazy. Very cool way to dim the lights and a built in timer. Good: The light is very bright and illuminates the pool well. Very quiet operation despite built-in fan. Cons: The timer on the backlight is unreliable.
