🌱 Optimized Full Spectrum LED Light on Bamboo Board - Ideal for Aquarium Nano Tank, Betta Fish Tank, Potted Plants, Succulent, Miniature Landscape Review

A simple two piece product, solid and elegant. The lamp is screwed onto a polished bamboo base. Comes with 6 large silicone feet that attach to the bottom of the base. The light is strong and far enough away to penetrate deep enough to the bottom of a small vessel (aquarium, vase, bottle, etc.). Looks great on my desk and envision it on a counter, dresser, shelf etc as well.

Nice looking lightweight, very strong, plants seem to be growing well. The light itself looks a bit yellowish (perhaps a reflection from the bamboo base), but otherwise it looks very nice. Too bad the height isn't adjustable. The light is too high for my aquarium, with no adjustment option. For something like a terrarium or container that's taller than it is wide, this would be great.

Upon assembling, I was struck by the quality of workmanship. For such a beautiful product, the packaging left a lot to be desired. It came in manufacturer's packaging with no tape and no extra layer of protection. The page was partially open when I received it and I was lucky nothing was missing. The quality of the packaging must correspond to the quality of the product. If it weren't for the terrible packaging I would have given it 5 stars.

I bought a Hiro Lantern for my daughter's betta project hoping the full spectrum light would encourage plant growth. Assembly is easy and looks beautiful. This product has some issues. . . No provision for threading the bolt into the tube - requires a "tight" hex on the tube so you can grip the bolt and tube at the same time; but there is no easy way to do this. You have to grab the pipe with something - like pliers with a towel so as not to scratch the pipe - and then you'll find that the bolt is still too short; It won't penetrate deep enough into the pipe to make a strong connection. I am using the 9w model on a 7 gallon cubic tank. While the lighting looks attractive and is placed over the water where I want it, this is not a high power LED. I would definitely classify this as low light and more demanding plants will likely find it difficult to establish and thrive. However, it is perfect for my application and creates a more subdued look than high powered LED lighting. Will I recommend it? Yes, I would, but only for low energy and undemanding installations. I'm giving 4/5
