I am using the 9w model on a 7 gallon cubic tank. While the lighting looks attractive and is placed over the water where I want it, this is not a high power LED. I would definitely classify this as low light and more demanding plants will likely find it difficult to establish and thrive. However, it is perfect for my application and creates a more subdued look than high powered LED lighting. Will I recommend it? Yes, I would, but only for low energy and undemanding installations. I'm giving 4/5 stars because the intensity of the LED isn't adjustable so its use is limited. Nevertheless, it is an attractive light source for nano aquariums, indoor plants and terrariums. Hiro Aquatics, make a version with more brightness levels and controls and I agree.
