Good for now; a question of durability

I like the blue cord - it shows up better than the clear ones. I'm not sure how long that will take. I knit a lot of sweaters and previous replacement cords from this brand didn't hold up well due to the heavier weight of the sweater yarn. I can only hope this is the best quality.

Pros
  • To be used in combination with Hiya Hiya replacement needle tips
Cons
  • Expensive

Great progress!

This blue cable is a definite improvement over the clear "swivel" cables. It eliminates the twine bond between the plastic cable and the metal joint that was the bane of old cables and is also much more flexible. The lifebuoy hole is a great idea, but totally useless if you're using closed stitch counters.

Pros
  • Knit Saver Ropes with safety rope holes are a great addition to the HiyaHiya range of interchangeable models!
Cons
  • Don't know

Regular HiyaHiya cables are not worth the price

These cables are REGULAR HiyaHiya cables. There is a hole in the metal part but so small, that you can only use it with sewing thread, not cotton thread, such as in crocheting, although that's a much better lifeline, they shouldn't be sold as "knit-saving" cords, and they're too expensive for regular cords.

Pros
  • Length 16/18", fits US HiyaHiya needle sizes 2-8
Cons
  • High price
