Unfortunately I had to return this product because I bought it together with another one I bought earlier this year, a dark brown espresso and this light brown. This was really disappointing as the quality of the later version has improved a lot compared to the previous version. The top cushion is now sewn on instead of attached with Velcro. I would have kept it if the color was the dark brown espresso I wanted.

I'm not entirely dissatisfied with the product, but I'm not thrilled either. They look and feel like real leather, but the top cushion is literally Velcro attached to the tray. I can pull it out immediately very easily. We bought 2 and 1 of the stools, the tray comes out very easily but the second one is almost impossible to get out and the cushion comes off every time I try to take it off. I almost broke my nail trying to pull it out. I think for the price it's decent but I wasn't expecting…

I received two completely different stools in the same "style" from the same manufacturer, the build quality is lousy on one, it's made cheaper and weighs about half as much as the other because use less material. The padding is less and the stitching is of very poor quality. The other is perfectly satisfactory and would give it 5 stars if both were identical. UPDATE Have had them for almost two years now. Not very good if handled often. The buttons on both came undone and the corners fell off. It's probably great if they're supposed to pick up grandma's knits, but not their grandkids' toys. We bought two and found them very useful. done, but we're concerned that the button on top might break over time. My living room is small so I didn't want to waste all my space trying to find a place to put drinks. I received this to replace a table in my living room. We're getting more minimalist and I didn't want to see the items I have on my table. It worked great. It's so short you can't even see it behind the arm of the sofa, but it holds my water glass and remote controls when I want to use it as a table, and doubles as a footstool when we're having guests.
