External fuel feed

I bought this cap to make a fuel extension for my 2000 Honda. I drilled through the center of the cap with a ½" drill bit, screwed it into the marine fuel fitting and sealed the threads with JB Marine Weld and when it was dry I hooked up the generator to a 5 gallon marine tank. Works like a charm, no gas or air leaks.

NOT SUITABLE FOR EU2200i. AND NO REFUND: Old recalls were due to a different Honda cap number.

FYI 08/20/2020 The Honda part 17620-ZT3-030 this FAQ is posted under IS DIFFERENT from the HONDA part number the question is aimed at. The part number I am referring to does NOT fit the EU2200i (2020 model) as this cap is over an inch smaller in diameter than the EU 2200i. The part number listed in this FAQ may match that listed in other posts. I did not receive this item when I ordered through this Amazon post.

Refurbished cap fits my EU2000i perfectly

Perfect fit for my EU2000i. This appears to be a Honda redesign as its exterior dimensions are smaller than the original. The original part number is 17620-ZT3-020 and is now obsolete. Doesn't rattle when my EU2000i works the same as the original cover. I found it difficult to connect the cap to the cable, so I unplugged the cable (which I didn't like anyway). Be careful when doing this as you will have to pull out the filter and the cord can easily be thrown into the tank.

Don't buy this! They won't fit and they won't come back!

So I bought two of these vented gas caps. Collected and went to the installation. And they are small. One is still in the original packaging. The one I opened didn't even touch gasoline. I've tried returning them and they aren't coming back! What the hell. I checked all the reviews and they fit a variety of generators. Well, now I'm stuck with two vented gas caps that I don't need. When I placed an order I saw that they can be returned. Guess what they aren't! Don't waste your time and money on

Perfect fit for my 2010 eu2000i

I can only shake my head at some of these reviews. Thus, the outer cover is smaller. oh no Then there is another page that is not posted here. Why does the hat have to be so big? oil plastic. Come on Honda, reduce your carbon footprint. I'm glad we have smartphones so I don't have to lug around a laptop or be tied to a desktop PC. Has anyone noticed how big limousines slowly depart?
