SO much easier to use. My magnetic seam guide kept moving and wasn't very helpful with straight seams. This simple yet so useful device makes me feel like a much more competent sewer. Do I need to tell you how important trust is in almost any endeavor?

Very good for making seams of different sizes. It fits my brother ce350 perfectly and now I sew almost perfect 1/4" and 5/8" seams. Aha! I like this because the leading edge is high so it's very easy to keep the fabric in a row. I am new to sewing and this works very well and is easy to install. Just make sure it is screwed in so that the top edge is set horizontally and not at an angle. Highly recommended.

Fits my Brother HC 1850 and seems to do what it's supposed to. I don't think the measurements match, but I adjusted it the way I wanted and I've had no problems. Not sure if everything comes with a Brother brand manual but there was no literature on it. If you need direction, you'll have to look elsewhere. I'm happy with the little gadget and glad it was cheaper than the branded one.

I bought this foot, not the magnetic one, from China via a Facebook ad. The company that sells one from China couldn't adequately answer my question about the magnetic base on my computer controlled machine and using it will void the warranty. Without any risk I decided on a real Brother leg for my expensive car and I am very satisfied.
