Used to replace the no-play plastic spacers on the miter fence of the table saw. Plastic seals wore out over time and required constant adjustment. These piston set screws eliminate this problem with a spring loaded ball bearing. They require good adjustment to balance the reduction in free play with the increased friction in the corner slot, but this was necessary even with the plastic discs. The cuts are much more reproducible and accurate. Would definitely buy again.
