To the naked eye, this product looks identical to the original nozzle. However, this part doesn't seem to snap securely. It works but falls out when you pick the car off the ground.

The tabs that help the brush block stay in place weren't made the way they should be so the block doesn't stay where it should. Also, the bristles of real brushes aren't very stiff and I don't think they'll last as long as they do after a few uses; they will most likely stop rubbing.

I thought it was the end of my carpet cleaner when the brushes stopped working and YouTube repair videos didn't work for me. My model is no longer made so I was happy to find a replacement at a great price. It came, I snapped it right, and I've been a happy little carpet-cleaning jerk during the pandemic.

A simple and inexpensive solution to an admittedly design flaw. I later realized I could just swap out a brush for a cheaper one, but that was literally a 10 second fix. I'll probably finish the broken one, replace the broken plastic shaft with a metal insert. You can break it there too. While I now know it only pops out to clean, I'm not going to let it get so clogged with dog hair that probably caused the problem in the first place.

Good replacement for the original brush. As with the others, the plastic "drive shaft" broke off on the original brush assembly. I suspect it will break at some point. It was indeed an unfortunate decision on Hoover's part. There's a "drive brushes only" list somewhere, but it costs about fifteen bucks, so it's not very economical.
