Good product under Tow & Winch items

All I had to do was drill 2 holes to attach the bracket to my bumper, attach the clamps to the bracket with the bolts and nuts provided and then to establish the electrical connection. Everything went well, very satisfied.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Compatibility

Easiest cable installation I've ever done.

Installation was easy and took less than two minutes. Everything I needed to get the job done professionally (dielectric grease and zip ties) was included in the kit. The hardest part of this setup was finding the right connection at the back of the truck to disconnect.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Everything is fine

10 minutes and screed

Falls under sliced bread and canned beer category - awesome! 10 minutes of your time and your outlet is ready. In fact, it takes longer to find the original connector (driver's side, rear, above the frame) than to install a new T-connector. A small cable tie and tape and you're good to go.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Difficult to answer

Revision History - External Accessories

I have factory piping and fittings on 95 f150, it doesn't work on 95 f150. After some more research it turned out that there are 2 connectors, one for brake lights, which was in the same spot as the other but was larger and harder to see. I tried connecting it to the other one which is the same size but slightly different shape, if you pick the right one it works.

Pros
  • Working without hands
Cons
  • I don't remember

Product supplied as shown without cable ties, dielectric grease and connector cover. It also had crimped repair connections on the 3 wires near the end of the connector. I returned and asked for a replacement. See attached picture. Update: The replacement item arrived in different packaging with all the parts pictured. Installs easily on a 1990 F150 and works great.

Pros
  • Tow Bar Accessory
Cons
  • Fits

The right way to add trailer wiring to your vehicle.

Whoever comes across a wire harness these days is an idiot. My truck had seat belt clips that fed 4 pin belts, classic hack. I cut out that nonsense and sealed the new connections with marine grade heat shrink tubing. The hoppy connector is plugged in correctly and ensures a secure electrical connection. An added bonus is the included electrical lube, zip ties, and connector cover.

Pros
  • External Accessory
Cons
  • Something Else

I have the trailer fork with quick release for .

I have been converting a trailer fork to a quick release almost every year for 10 years. The wiring on the back of my truck was starting to go bad (purchasing a stock order for a 7 pin gooseneck trailer connector didn't help. I got fed up and ordered this connector. What a treat! It fitted right in. No problem and mine Trailer lights work properly I hope this is the last time I have to do the headlights on the side of the truck.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Not everything fits
