This product has caused diarrhea in my hornworms.

I made it according to the instructions except I only made a quarter of the product because I didn't want to waste it and I don't have a lot of hornworms. I just needed some food for them as the amount that comes with worm feeds is never enough. There was an error. I'm not sure if the recipe has too much water in it or if the food itself is just bad, but it has caused my hornworms to have severe diarrhea. The hornworms grew pale and lethargic. Most of them died within a few days. They were…

Hornworms love it - Reptiles & Amphibians

My hornworms at various stages of growth eat this food and are growing fast, I have 6 of them have grown huge and are now pupating in a pot of mud for my attempt at breeding them. I breed some others to feed my bearded dragon when they get big and plump and juicy. I make his day by hanging one of them in front of him for him to grab. Hornworms are like warts, he goes crazy when he sees them. This meal was easy to make and serve, I made a whole bag and froze it in the ziplock bag, then broke it…

DO NOT BUY! the best of reptiles and amphibians

DO NOT BUY this item! I recently started a project to breed some hawks. I'm so angry right now. Out of the 1000 hornworm eggs I collected, I got 7 that have actually reached their final age. And of those 7, 3 became dolls. They turned a sickly brown and eventually died. I was trying to change food every few days when I first noticed they were dying or giving off a strange smell. I not only lost the money I spent on this product but hundreds of dollars because people were queuing to buy from me.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Dangerous, this item can create monsters!

We have a bearded man named Falkor who LOVES hornworms. We decided to buy a tube of Revain for about 30 and it worked really well but they seemed to stop feeding towards the end. Well, we figured we'd just buy some food and another batch of hornworms. A tiny part of this material is very important! We ended up with gigantic, monster-sized horned worms, I mean giant ones. Of course, Falkor loved his stuffed diner worms, so love wasn't lost at all. Just be aware that a tiny fraction of that…

My purple worms saved!

Edit: A month has passed and I have my first moth. I decided to breed some more hornworms while waiting for my pupae. For me, the optimal serving is 2 ounces of food to 1 glass of distilled water. I don't give them more than they can eat in 3 days because it will start to wear off. You'll be able to tell when it's out because it has a very distinct, sugary-sweet smell. The cooked dish will keep in the fridge for at least a week and possibly longer. Original: Thank god this meal came on time…
