Everything is fine. I think it would be better with stronger magnets as it took a few tries to keep it from moving when tightened. Maybe a little more pressure on the rubber would help too. The magnets were the most noticeable problem I had. I would prefer magnets that would almost stick the thing to my vise. Again, the problem may be with the metal used in my vise. The price was reasonable for what I got so it was a steal for a tool I don't intend to use often and it ended up doing the job.

Some reviewers find the urethane to be a bit soft, but in fact it's almost perfect. Not hard enough to damage things I want to clamp, but strong enough to hold its shape and not get damaged. This is a good vise accessory when it fits. The molded in cut outs seem well thought out (square and round). The problem for me was that placing the magnet in the plastic made my vise prevented it from being tight. I considered drilling new holes and relocating the magnets, but that's not the case. Worth my time. If you open the jaws of your vise and look at their flat faces, you can by eye recognize if magnet placement is right for you catches lots of metal shavings.
