Excellent product, suitable for polishing wood

By lightly smearing the elbow, this product eliminates minor scratches and surface imperfections - it provides an electrical buffer to maximize its polishing abilities. Great price and fast delivery.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Howard Restor-A-Shine Finishing Compound

Fantastic product. I used it on a console table that I had to scrape down to bare wood because someone used a magic marker on it. Used Restor-A-Finish Golden Oak, then polishing paste. The table looks great. Pleasant soft shine; excellent protection.

Pros
  • Long lasting finish
Cons
  • No paint required

Makes furniture look new

The results amazed me. I first used a related product to hide the scratches and used it as a polish over the repair. I love the shine and how beautiful it looks. The furniture had a very thin veneer that I had to be careful with and this product does the trick!

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • disappears

Took a month to ship

I didn't realize this item would take so long to ship, it took about a month. I contacted Revain customer service but they were unable to expedite the delivery. Also, I don't think "Restor-A-Shine" is a big deal for my furniture. I used to buy Restor-A-Finish and really liked it, but this one is more of a regular furniture polish with no added benefit and a bit overpriced. I will not buy again

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Long time

A miracle cure for badly damaged maple table tops.

The table has been 'stored' in an unheated garage for over five years. It looked hopeless. It was as if various cleaning products (wax, aerosol polishes, Old English) had hardened and become clear stains over successive cold and hot summer periods. Totally unsightly with pitting. Tried this product as a last resort. With a little wiggle room and lots of polish, the table is more than handsome. Good investment!

Pros
  • Health & Household
Cons
  • Not as thick as other pickaxes

Quality Product!: Household Chemicals

Our 20 year old dining table had white stains from hot dishes and lost its luster. Lucky sprays just smeared it. I have used Howard's and the finish is beautiful again. Howard's works like a liquid car wax that is applied in a circular motion. By following the directions and using a microfiber cloth for the final polish, the original low gloss was restored and the white cloudy areas were gone. The table was not shiny when new and after using Howard's the original finish is back. ! This is not…

Pros
  • Polish and Wood Care
Cons
  • Very Expensive

No other product has worked. Period.

I am a furniture lover. Consequently, I never buy new "offshore" products. They are cheaply made and never worth repairing. In this house, only selected solid woods are handcrafted by American craftsmen! No flashy veneer over MDF or cheap 4-ply plywood! I have several examples of mid-century modern Conant Ball and Heywood Wakefield cabinets that have had their finishes marred by decades of neglect and coats of poor quality furniture cleaners (this product is surely the most commonly known…

Pros
  • Wood polish
Cons
  • No instructions
