Suitable for my HP Specter 15 inch

I had trouble finding a compatible power dock for my HP Specter 15 inch laptop, but this one works fine. I only use part of the Thunderbolt combo cable and it charges the laptop well. HP doesn't even list this station as compatible with the 15-inch Specter, so I'm not sure what's up with it. Make plugging and unplugging a little tight, but you generally don't do it often anyway. The top power button is delicate and prone to accidental presses. Overall I'm happy with it.

Pros
  • Color: black.
Cons
  • Compatibility

After spending $2.1,000 on an HP Zbook, it was annoying to spend another $260 on a docking station to add dual monitors, speakers, two external drives, a printer, a film scanner, and various USB devices to connect. -- Yes, I work at home and have a lot of computer supplies. Connecting to a document costs two DisplayPort cables as that is the only (useful) monitor input on the document. I used to work at HP and still own stock - to be honest with this rip off America you'd think their stock…

Pros
  • Compatible: HP Elite x2 1012 G1; HP Elite x2 1012 G2; HP Pro x2 612 G2; Folio HP Elitebook G1; HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2; HP EliteBook x360 1020 G2; HP EliteBook 1040 G4; HP EliteBook 800 G5; HP EliteBook 700 G5; HP ProBook 600 G4; HP ProBook 400 G5; Book 14U G5; Book 15U G5; Book HP 17 G3; HP Book 15 G3; Book HP 17 G4; Book HP 15 G4.
Cons
  • I'll be silent

Do not buy from this seller! ATTENTION

I bought this product despite the bad reviews and should have known better. The video connections didn't work at all, the monitor recognized it but didn't output anything. I've tried several different monitors and ports, all with the same results. The power and USB ports worked, but I wanted them to be used for the monitor outputs. I sent the item back and said it didn't work. I received an email saying the item was "damaged in the upper right corner". If so this would have happened upon…

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Theranos by Docking Stations

Finding the right docking station for my new HP laptop initially turned out to be a bad science project. There is NO description on HP's websites that specifically tells customers WHICH port replicator comes with WHICH laptop. In fact, the HP website is nothing more than a maze of obscure, useless instructions and endless execution loops that lead you to more and more useless pages without being able to figure out how to talk to a person. This is after paying over $300 for a docking station…

Pros
  • Stable Test Results
Cons
  • Replacement Availability
