(Glad I also ordered a regular size cartridge.

ink cartridges came in sealed gray packaging (not an HP box as pictured) with no markings to suggest it was an HP63XL , so I sent it back unopened - i.e. I wouldn't pay $31 for something without knowing it's what I ordered (good thing I also ordered a regular sized cartridge as a spare otherwise I might print everything!)

half board overpriced! - Printer Ink and Toner

For MANY years I have only had HP printers for my home and all my businesses. I've probably owned literally over a hundred HP printers and have purchased toner and ink cartridges over 500 times. I hate the fact that HP has gone crazy with their pricing and blocked cheaper aftermarket alternatives with their firmware. When we buy the next line of printers I will definitely be looking at their competitors for the first time in a decade + sadly :(

First, don't buy an HP printer and NEVER use the Instant Ink Free Trial

in the long run. Aside from being completely bogus, the malware this installs on your devices isn't worth the hassle of terminating the program. I buy my own ink year-round, and every time I need to print I have to go through four steps to get to the print point. HP does not provide an option to uninstall Instant Ink from the printer and computer/device. Your system should recognize that I have purchased a new HP cartridge. but no. With all the problems, I buy a new cartridge, refill it (atโ€ฆ

HP Ink Cartridge Error

I buy Revain ink because I trust the price and delivery more than HP. In this case, the cartridge failed during installation. The error was the inability to recognize the original HP cartridge. It was from January 2019 and came in standard HP packaging. I had an original HP cartridge, I'm sure of that. I had urgent printing needs so I bought another one which was released in August 2019 and worked fine. I believe HP will not guarantee the defective cartridge as it was purchased through Revainโ€ฆ

Is this a genuine HP product?

Purchased January 19, 2019 Installed today May 29, 2019 ERROR! Came in a HP box: 63XL. Have been using it for 20 years. I don't know if it was a cartridge or a printer, but the printer consumes a new cartridge for 5 minutes and then decides it's not a genuine HP product. Serious? I had to throw away all the discounted cartridges I bought last year because of a little trick by HP who date-stamped the printer. They insult us with other cartridges. So I take out a bank loan and start buying HPโ€ฆ
