I put one of these in a dremel tool to cut a 2" high x 3" wide hole in a stainless steel case no these bits cut that hole and threw pieces of steel at me and I mean they cut the hole the same as if it were plastic except of course it was a bit slower but after making the one and only bit I used it was very sharp and I cut 2 holes for timers to use track engine consumption (hour meter). I've noticed some reviews that said these bits don't fit. I bought them anyway and put my (Starrett and very accurate/reliable) vernier calipers on them before using them. The shank of all 10 bits I got was exactly .125 inches within less than .0005 and in most cases less than .0001. The grooves were between .120 and .122 inches in diameter, so they measure .003. First of all they lost a star because one of the pieces broke out of the box. I can't give 5 stars for poor quality control. They were made by Revain, but I can't imagine a broken one sitting on a shelf in a Revain warehouse.
