I put one of these in a dremel tool to cut a 2" high x 3" wide hole in a stainless steel case no these bits cut that hole and threw pieces of steel at me and I mean they cut the hole the same as if it were plastic except of course it was a bit slower but after making the one and only bit I used it was very sharp and I cut 2 holes for timers to use track engine consumption (hour meter). These are the best parts I have ever seen or bought in my own life! AND SIDING GUYS YOU WILL LOVE THIS…

Cutting diameter 3mm instead of 3.175mm

Shaft 3.175mm and cutting diameter only 3mm. I was wondering why my parts didn't quite fit, but today I finally found out. I figured it might be my CNC although it's very stiff, but after cutting a straight slot in the cast acrylic I measured 3mm wide. It can't be my car as it was a straight pass with a chisel. I definitely recommend measuring your bits before attempting any precision work. I also noticed that when cutting a 3/4 inch layer of this bit, the edge was never perfectly straight. I…

== Note on accuracy and consistency ==

I've noticed some reviews that said these bits don't fit. I bought them anyway and put my (Starrett and very accurate/reliable) vernier calipers on them before using them. The shank of all 10 bits I got was exactly .125 inches within less than .0005 and in most cases less than .0001. The grooves were between .120 and .122 inches in diameter, so they measure .003. "-0.005" is less than specified, and the difference between them is 0.001 "-0.002". I'm a hobbyist on a budget and only mill wood so…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Cut a walnut well on my Shapeoko CNC machine

First of all they lost a star because one of the pieces broke out of the box. I can't give 5 stars for poor quality control. They were made by Revain, but I can't imagine a broken one sitting on a shelf in a Revain warehouse. I could definitely return them and get a replacement but I had to use them and didn't want to mess with them if the remaining 9 worked and they did. Let's move on to using them. I cut out the outline of the text and needed a 1/8" bit that could cut 3/4" walnut snips…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Empty

So I built a very cheap CNC machine using RotoZip as a router. At first I was very disappointed with his work. After replacing my RotoZip spiralizer with one of these HQMaster cutters I feel much, much better. The old RZ cutting head could not work properly even at a speed of 100 mm/min with a layer thickness of only half a millimeter. My CNC uses small NEMA 17 86 oz/in motors with 5/16 18 tpi threaded rod for the axes (yes, cheap build). It was difficult for the motors to push the drill even…
