As far as I can tell, this charge controller does not allow you to select a battery type. The manual doesn't describe a way to select a Lithium charging profile (CC-CV) or any other charging profile like Gel for that matter. What I received was a charge controller that only works with lead-acid batteries. This is not specified in the technical data. I use the 10 and 30 amp versions of this charge controller for portable solutions and the 30 amp version has a button that the interface uses to…

Ideal for those building a small solar system.

Bought to replace the Harbor Freight 100W charge controller. I had a back feed on one that blew an internal soldered fuse which I was able to fix but ultimately decided I didn't trust anymore. This controller fits my budget and bill. Installation was easy, connections were easy, and instructions were easy to follow. Currently charges two 35ah 12v batteries with no problems. One thing I like compared to Harbor Freight is that it shows battery percentage versus voltage remaining. I may have…

Easily replaces existing charge controllers!

I bought this to replace the regulator that came with my Harbor Freight solar system after the regulator gave up the ghost. My system was one of the originals, with a well-built metal regulator. It took several years before it failed. This regulator is half the price and much better, plus it was a replacement. This allowed me to connect my two sheds together and run them on a single battery. It's very nice to climb into the sheds at night! I cut out a set of garlands and plugged in 12 volt LED…

Works fine when you first plug it in - hope it continues to work!

UPDATE: More than 2 years later and it still works great! I intend to power a 10 watt night light in a remote building and run a charger for my quad during the winter. square hole, then tighten the terminal screws to pull the wires up. I reused wires from another controller that had connectors, which makes it much easier to connect and disconnect the battery and solar panel. I connected the battery and the LCD turned on as expected. Then I connected the solar panel and started getting data on…
