Works as advertised, great compactness!

I like it, it turns out the nominal power. Well packed. 21 VDC +3 amps. Not impressive under heavy clouds, but what kind of panel is it really? I put PVC legs behind it and used it with a Minnkota battery box and charge controller for camping/hunting and CPAP electronics. Consistently puts out more amp than the 100 watt Doki I returned.

Pros
  • A good product for its price
Cons
  • There are nuances

Doesn't produce the amps it should be

Hurricane Florence destroyed our sailing club's docks and destroyed our shore power system. It looks like spring will come before we can replace it. So I bought this 50w solar panel to keep my boat batteries charged. It should produce about 4 amps, but I don't get that much on a clear, sunny day. My battery voltage is going down, not up. I turned the panel to face the sun, but I rarely get even 1 amp of power. How are you?

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Worked for a while.

Installed on the roof of my backhoe because my generator stopped working. Since I rarely use an excavator, the battery should stay charged and ready for my next job. For the first week or so I thought it would work, but for the past few weeks the battery has been below 50% even after 6-10 days in the sun. I disconnect the battery cables when it's been idle for more than a few days and leave this solar charger connected to the battery, but the battery isn't charging. Not very impressed but…

Great value generators and portable power supplies

I bought two of the 70 watt panels for my teardrop trailer. They have a surprisingly high level of tension. Even under load (charging the battery, running lights, 12 volt refrigerator) I get about 31 volts. Is this normal for panels under load? I wanted to run them in series (to take full advantage of my MPPT charge controller) but that overloaded my controller (can only handle 60 volts). In the end I just let them run in parallel and my controller is very happy. We just finished a 6 day trip…

  • Everything ok

Excellent performance and excellent build quality.

Very satisfied. Even in the shade and at the wrong angle for the time of year, this panel still has an open circuit voltage of 17.6V. The second picture shows the panel in direct sunlight, but I didn't place it at the right angle to maximize its full collection potential. The only thing I don't understand is why the panel comes with alligator clips. I had to cut them to connect the wires to my solar charge controller. The processing quality is also excellent. I also have four of their 50 watt…

Great panel at a good price

I chose them based on an independent review on Youtube where they tested HQST, Renogy and a few others in parallel. They put out the most power and had the best frame, plus a good price. I found them cheaper than others and tested them myself with my multimeter. I have two panels, both 70W. At midday in full sun one puts out 83 watts and the other 80 watts so I got more than I paid for! The frames are very strong and have several pre-drilled holes for installing or attaching folding legs (which

Great starter set

Perfect for a small project. I bought it to run a water pump in a small well. Good quality panel and accessories. I've been using it for a few weeks and have found that the waterfall attracts some unwanted animals after dark. I removed the battery and replaced the controller with an inexpensive buck converter. Now the waterfall works during the day and turns off when the sun goes down. If you watch my video you can see the reflection of a tree branch covering most of the panel but the pump is…
