Due to vaulted ceiling, two ceiling fans are required to lower. Standard fans usually only come with a 1-2" wand. The installation process was the same as for the shorter standard rods.

I didn't know how to install a ceiling fan, especially with an extension, but it worked. The only downside is that the ground screw hole is not the right size. The color is great and all other mounts were true to size.

On my high ceiling (about 10 feet), this lower rod lowered my new Hunter fan to the perfect height. You hardly have to stand on tiptoe to pull the chains. Solidly constructed to support the weight of the fan. Easy attachment to fan and ceiling. Lots of threads at one end to ensure a good attachment. I'm glad I bought it.

The marking says the diameter is 0.8" but it's actually 1". It was actually recommended as other people have "linked" this item to the fan I bought. I think there are many disappointed people when they realized that this rod would not work with their Casa Vieja Turbina fan.
