Hunter 99135 Three Light Fitter Review

Replaced a lamp with this one in our home office. Easy to install, but best of all, it's a lot easier to change bulbs than an old gut lamp.

Perfect when I replaced the original candelabra base mount (poor engineering btw) that was failing too quickly over the life of the fan. I hope this device will last much longer with a standard base.

Have used many Hunter fans over the years and have enjoyed the ease of installation and quality of the product. This is no exception - I installed it in about 30 minutes (powered on and on stairs, I don't work fast - I work safely) and it works like a dream.

The product works. All you have to do is check with the manufacturer to make sure your fan is compatible. I called them, they said yes, they installed it and it works with no problems. The people who wrote the other reviews didn't check it, so they say it doesn't work.

It was the perfect solution to my lighting problem. My unit originally came with these weird little sockets. I think it's just a ploy to get more money, but at least they're easy to change.

This lighting kit does not fit specified fan model. I had to remove the light wand and connect the wires directly (this is normal because the light is on a different switch from the fan). I also had to buy longer screws. It's a good thing that the kit comes with light bulbs, but they can't be dimmed.

Didn't know my Type 5 fan was incompatible. I contacted Hunter and they replied that my fan model does not have compatible lighting fixtures which means I need to replace the entire fan. The original owner's manual says it's compatible with a wide variety of lighting fixtures, and the fan case has black/white wires with a sticker saying they're for fan mounting. More embarrassing is the lack of transparency. specific bracket is not suitable.

I bought a Hunter lighter because I thought it would fit easily on a Hunter fit the fan that comes without a light. However, the base of the bracket is flat enough that the pull switch mechanism protrudes upward into what should be the base of the fan tray, except there's only a tiny hole in the center that can't accommodate the top of the switch. Using a hacksaw, cut a larger hole in the base of the fan to line it up, headache. Otherwise quality and looks are quite good.
