My husband says this magnet is identical to the one he removed from our Craftsman LT 2000 18.5hp lawnmower. Edition 2007. It is easy to replace. Be sure to disconnect the battery before replacing this part.

This fits the old solenoid exactly so installation was easy. But it only lasted 5 1/2 weeks (set on August 6th). The second solenoid lasted 2 weeks. I bought a third solenoid valve. The 3rd is about 3 weeks ago. crossed fingers I have not yet received a replacement for the 2nd returned solenoid.

The part worked for 6 weeks and died. Revain only allows returns on this item within 30 days so I'm out of luck. I ran extensive electrical tests on my garden tractor to confirm that the solenoid died prematurely. Then I went to Tractor Supply and bought a new magnet which I put in and the mower starts fine again. I'm not too happy that I had to go to the trouble of diagnosing the problem and replacing it twice in less than 2 months.
