As a result of my tests, I determined that this product does not live up to its claim of being abrasive. While it does have some grip, it fails to remove even light rust and paint from metal surfaces. Additionally, the bristles are prone to falling out after minimal use. This product may work for light household tasks, but it is not suitable for industrial and scientific applications.

Excellent brush, really cleans fat, limescale and anything a softer brush can't handle. Leaves some rust when you use it with water.

I use this type of long handled wire brush on a daily basis. I chop wood and use it after dragging the logs through the mud. I remove dirt and stones that have fallen into the bark.
