On my RV, replacing the existing filter was easy and works as expected. I had an older version and needed new hardware and was able to adapt by separating the snap closure from the PVC sleeve to make the hardware compatible.

the first filter was defective and hardly let any water through. Called Camco, was easy to deal with and ended up sending the faulty filter back and getting a replacement. Connections work well, overall this system is good. They may need to step up quality control to ensure no bad filter occurs. but hey, that's life. The new filter works perfectly.

I love this filter for my RV - it makes my water taste and smell better. One star off for the wrong item. Luckily my local hardware store had what I needed because I had already cut the cold water line under the kitchen sink. It keeps my whole house filtered water - if it lasts a year as advertised, you'll see what a bargain it is - even if I have to change filters sooner, replacement filters cost about $24 so I always keep it still for a good buy .
