Pay attention to the description

Choose exactly what you need. The one with threaded connections is supplied without fittings. If you want one that will fit over a bare piece of copper or plastic pipe it doesn't need any fittings it just snaps into place and that was just what I needed.

Pros
  • Hard-wearing finish
Cons
  • Style 90

no weird taste Replaceable flush water filters

Installation on the back of the fridge was easy except for the installer's mistake of replacing the fitting (my bad one) in the end it turned out. At the same time I changed this filter and the internal filter of the water cooler, flushed the system and there were no foreign tastes. You definitely don't want to skip the post-install flushing.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power

Delicious water

Installed a Maxblue filter on our main fridge, at the same time I added this filter to my fridge in the garage. Hydronix produces much better tasting water. I had a little problem threading the line as the plastic is quite soft and I use brass connectors which cause thread damage and leakage. I had to disassemble everything, stick more teflon tape and try again. Slightly deeper thread posts on this filter would be better. I want filters made by Hydronix for XWF fridges!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No vending machine

Durable and very effective filter.

This was a replacement for the identical filter I used to power our ice maker/chiller in the fridge. My wife's digestive system can't handle city water, and we used a reverse osmosis system for our drinking water source. We later found that this filter worked for them and I was able to give up our reverse osmosis system which was quite expensive to maintain and run. I recommend that you flush this filter with at least a few gallons of water before using the filtered water.

Pros
  • Complete
Cons
  • Empty

I bought it for my father so that he didn't have to change the cartridge in the fridge. We have very bad water in the city and the filters get clogged up pretty quickly. At $45 each, this can get expensive. They taste the water great and don't block the flow rate much. The charcoal is made from coconut shell, which is considered to be one of the best on the market. You will need to go to the unit and grab all the fittings that fit it and your lines, but this is secondary and can be reused in…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

NSF. Tool-free installation and great water!

I use it for water in the fridge. Much cheaper and last much longer than the factory. I will mark them with the date I put them in line and they will last a year (probably longer) then I will put a new one in, the water tastes great after the filter is installed and the quality is the same or better than it is. recommended. NO tools are required for the plastic lines, this filter uses John Guest fittings. Just plug the plastic line into the filter and you're done! NSF.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
