🔍 Enhance Filtration Efficiency with Hydronix SMCB 2510 Carbon Filter Length Review

The water tasted strange so I had to go back to the CB-1005 filter which was less than a month old anyway. But I bought this filter because it claims to filter 0.05 microns.

My parents have a two-stage filter, one stage should be for the sediment cartridge and the other stage should be for this carbon cartridge. Instead I installed two charcoal cartridges like this and no mud cartridge. Now it obviously filters out the sediment, but since it's dual carbon it gives me a water quality I just blew away that comes very close to my reverse osmosis water in taste and clean feel! Concerned about reviews. The filter found is heavy making it 0.5 micron, some say it is not. The water is actually very good. There is no vinyl taste, the water is pleasant to the touch and has a very pleasant taste. Better than Matrixx from USA, I deleted it. The only issue I had was that it came in a soft, padded envelope. Transport did not cause any damage, but should have additional protection. Slows the flow, but not enough to be useless.

Made my water slimy and looked like rotten meat. I replaced all three filters under the sink and this is my last 3rd stage filter. I left it for a few days and every time I drank water I had a slimy mouth feel and to the taste of rotten flesh with a harsh chemical. After just removing this last step from my water filter and plugging the system back in, the weird taste was gone. Something is wrong with this filter.
