I would give it 5 stars but the reason I can't is that it can't be used with salt which needs healing and just health, thank you very much . It oxidized and killed all the baby carp I had been caring for for several months. I lost 20 or 30. I didn't even think about it. I don't think there is a pond or aquarium heater that you can trust.

It perfectly keeps the water temperature right where you want it and the digital display is perfect. The only thing missing is the suction cups: the heating element often falls off the glass, so I have to constantly reach into the tank to fix it. My last two heaters (Marineland and Eheim) may have failed much sooner than they should, but at least their suction cups never came loose from the glass.

I bought this almost exactly a year ago and today I had trouble turning off the circuit breaker. After trial and error I determined it was a heater. When I reached for my tank after turning off the heater, I was slightly shocked. I finally got this thing out of my tank and contacted support via email on their website. The email was immediately rejected and invalidated. She worked great for a year and then created a huge problem. Wouldn't recommend it.
